Come appreciate our home that is full of amenities and only 1.5 miles from Mayo Clinic and downtown Rochester! This house is completely updated with modern appliances and beautiful spaces to enjoy both inside and outdoors. Two queen bedrooms, two full bathrooms, full room office, family room attached to kitchen, dining room open to living room, 2 patios, and free washer/dryer in utility room. This home allows dogs only. No other pets are allowed.

Good to know

You will enter the home from the door just off the driveway where you will have one off-street parking spot with plenty of additional on-street free parking space. You enter into the family room where there is a 55 inch 4k Roku Smart television so you can login to your favorite streaming apps. There is also a nice sound system. Two small steps take you up to the kitchen with all new stainless appliances that over looks the family room. The dining room is just off the kitchen with a table that seats four and that area is open to the living room with wonderful outdoor views. Off the living room is a hallway that leads to the 2 queen bedrooms with wonderful memory foam mattresses, a full room office, and a full bathroom. The finished basement has a washer, dryer and bonus bathroom. There is a large concrete patio with a firepit, outdoor dining table for four, and a gas grill. There is an additional smaller patio that is covered with a table and chairs.

This house is dog friendly, however, all dogs need to be included in your guest count at the time of reservation (including visiting ones). Nice quiet 1950's residential neighborhood, very close to a number of churches and schools. 3 blocks from great grocery store and multiple pharmacies. Blocks from several great eating places, some with bar service. Pickleball courts, parks, playgrounds and many other amenities within a very short walk.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire upstairs of the house. The outdoor spaces can be enjoyed in all seasons depending on your appreciation for the weather. The two stall detached garage is not available to guests and is used by a neighbor. For this reason guests must park on the side of the driveway nearest to the house and in front of the numbers 1002 on the garage door.

Had a lovely stay for an extended weekend getaway. Very homey accommodations in a location with easy access to main roads and freeways. Had one small glitch with the Wi-Fi connection and their response was immediate and very helpful.

Excellent place to stay for a visit to Mayo. I brought a family member to Rochester for a few appointments at Mayo Clinic and stayed here at Joel & Carla's place. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and stay was perfect. The house matched all the descriptions and felt even nicer than expected, and it was in a neighborhood that felt nice and quiet, while being very easy to get to/from Mayo each day. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

This was the second time we have stayed at Joel and Carla’s place and it was as wonderful the second time as it was the first. You feel like you are staying at a relative’s house and they have done everything then can to make it as comfortable and stress free as can be. It is very much appreciated as we go through this difficult time and make our treks up to Mayo Clinic from Chicago. Thank you again.

Very close to Mayo Clinic and grocery store/shopping. All the comforts of home. We especially loved all the interesting decorations. So many beautiful clocks! We would stay here again if we were back in town.

This is home. From the day you enter to the day you leave. I left in a snow storm, and 13 degree weather. I arrived in San Diego in 70 degree weather. I went to Rochester to help a friend. I was not looking forward to leave San Diego to go to Rochester. I got that same feeling leaving Rochester to go back to San Diego. The neighborhood, the home, the people. I would recommend that experience to anyone I know. This is probably one of the warmest places I have ever stayed.

Joel and Carla were super responsive and gracious hosts! The kitchen had all the pots/pans/utensils needed and the space was super cute and comfortable! The location was very central to everything in Rochester. Would definitely recommend!

Find us

There is one off-street parking space in the driveway. There is also ample free on-street parking on two sides of the house. Three blocks to access to the Rochester bus line with a waiting shelter. There is easy access to the Rochester walking/biking trails that go for many miles in and around the city.
